February 27 would have been Elizabeth Taylor’s birthday and The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) has created a video tribute to the activist who transformed her dazzling Hollywood legacy into a platform to fight for AIDS research, provide for the needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and advocate for compassion during the early epidemic and throughout the rest of her life. She helped found amfAR and went on to create The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, awarding grants to those most in need and paving the way for ambassadors to continue the work of ending AIDS in her stead.
Narrated by Miley Cyrus, an advocate for LGBTQ and AIDS issues in her own right, the video reminds viewers that, like Dame Elizabeth Taylor, we can all transform what we know is true into action that makes positive and lasting change for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and humanity as a whole.
Kathy Ireland started her firm kathy ireland® WorldWide (kiWW®) thanks in part to the mentorship she received from her close friend Elizabeth Taylor; the company has pledged matching donations to ETAF up to $100,000. Text LOVE to 27722 to donate $10 and help them continue her fight, or visit the link below.
