One Heartland Sponsors “Holiday in the Heartland” 2019

One Heartland has announced that their annual fundraiser, Holiday in the Heartland, will return this year to Minneapolis’s The Dakota Jazz Club on December 13 and 14, 2019, for a glittering two-night holiday gala that raises money for One Heartand’s summer camps for kids touched by AIDS and other medical and social difficulties.

Since 1993, One Heartland has provided life-changing camping experiences for youth facing social isolation, intolerance or serious health challenges. Their diverse camps provide a welcoming, bully-free environment where children, youth and young adults can feel completely accepted for who they are—often for the first time in their lives.

One Heartland also offers hands-on learning and life-skills training—not in a classroom, but while planting vegetables, performing skits, swimming in the pool, painting murals, exploring the wilderness, writing poetry, dancing up a storm or lying under the star-lit sky. At One Heartland, young people develop self-acceptance, life-long friendships and the courage to face the world.

Each evening of the fundraiser will feature music from Har Mar Superstar, silent and live auctions, presentation of the annual One Heartland Heart of Hope Award, and other entertainment. Tickets cost $35.00 for general admission and $150 for VIP admission. Individual tickets must be purchased for each night. The doors will open both nights at 5:30 for the silent auction and champagne social; the live auction will follow the 7:00 dinner. There are also sponsorships available from $1,500 to $25,000.

The Dakota Jazz Club is located at 1010 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis MN 55403; phone (612) 332-1010.
